OpenAI API key required — provided by the customer
Automatic document recognition (AI OCR) and intelligent email auto-completion rely on OpenAI APIs. The customer must provide their own OpenAI API key, configured by the administrator in the control panel. Video sessions and report management work independently without an API key.

The virtual front desk for self check-in properties
OVVO Video Verification is a web platform for remotely verifying the identity of guests at hotels, B&Bs and accommodation facilities. It replaces the in-person check-in meeting with a short video call: the operator sees the guest's face, captures their ID document live and produces a complete verification report.
The report is ready for legal requirements, with direct submission of the guest card to Alloggiati Web (State Police). The procedure takes about 2 minutes when the guest is prepared.

The process
How verification works
Six clear steps, from sending the link to submitting the guest card to the Police Headquarters.
Receiving the link
The guest receives a link via WhatsApp, SMS or email and opens it directly on their phone, without installing anything.
Operator notification
The operator receives a notification (including push on a locked smartphone) and starts the video call.
Document verification and capture
During the call the operator checks the face and frames the document: AI photographs it and automatically reads its personal data (OCR).
Expiry check
If the document is expired, the operator and guest receive an immediate blocking alert.
Report finalization
The operator finalizes the complete report with document photos and data for all guests, including multiple people in the same call.
Submission to Alloggiati Web
The guest card is generated from the report and sent to the Police Headquarters through Alloggiati Web (State Police), with assisted code completion.
